HawkFi is one of the top projects leading the automated liquidity management revolution on Solana. We even use it to automate and manage our liquidity positions daily.
So, we decided to reach out to learn more about the team, their journey, vision, and what makes HawkFi a game-changer for active liquidity providers on Solana.
Q1: Please tell us about the team’s background, who are the founders or team members, and what inspired you to start this project?
HawkFi has a dozen diverse contributors from developer, trader, and quant backgrounds. Founded by founders of open source projects and startup exits, HawkFi was built with the mission to empower investors with smarter investment decisions through analytics & automations.
Q2: Give us a brief story of HawkFi journey so far for those learning about the project for the first time to catch up on.
TLDR: Axiom for liquidity providing
Q3: Can you explain the origin and inspiration behind the name HawkFi?
Analytics is in our DNA. We are passionate about empowering investors with smarter investment decisions through data & automations.
That’s why we picked “Hawk” to embody our product values of turning sharp, alert, and astute insights into action.
Q4: Why did you choose to build HawkFi on Solana? And are there plans to expand to other chains in the near or distant future?
i. Solana is the ultimate chain for token trading and permissionless asset creation – all of which require lots of liquidity for HawkFi’s LP Terminal to fuel.
ii. HawkFi is the LP Terminal for serious LPers. By enabling fast & smart automations for liquidity providing on Meteora, Orca, and Raydium – we are building the liquidity backbone to fuel the on-chain NASDAQ that Solana is becoming.
Q5: Who do you consider your primary target users? Who was HawkFi built for?
Active liquidity providers who want EDGE in the market, through smart automations or screening for alpha across Meteora, Orca, and Raydium.
Q6: Can you explain the funding structure for HawkFi? Have you received venture capital backing or has the project been primarily self-funded by the team, or any other sources of capital?
HawkFi fundraised from strategic participants including Solana Ventures, but is now a sustainable & profitable protocol.
Q7: Can you share some interesting data or insight on HawkFi growth and usage? Such as the number of active users, TVL, total fees earned, or any other interesting stat you can share at this time.
$12B+ Total Volume and $15M+ Total Fees generated for users – and we are just getting started
Q8: What metrics do you use to measure the platform’s success? And when would you consider HawkFi to have become successful?
Fees generated by users, and market share on DEXes. HawkFi will be considered successful when we grow the pie and a significant share of fees from DEXes are generated by HawkFi’s LP Terminal.
Q9: What would you describe as the single biggest challenge faced and success achieved in the history of HawkFi so far?
i. Our biggest success is helping LPers sleep at night and become 10x more productive by managing more positions, made possible with smart automations.
ii. And Our biggest challenge is ruthlessly prioritizing which LP automation features to cook for LPers.
Q10: Where do you see HawkFi in the next 1 to 2 years? And what would HawkFi look like when it’s fully developed?
Axiom for liquidity providing. The LP Terminal for serious liquidity providers on Solana.
Q11: Are there plans to introduce new features or tools, such as advanced analytics or AI-driven strategies, to enhance HawkFi’s offerings?
Yes, expect smarter and faster analytics & automations
Q12: What are your plans for the HFI tokens, its use on the platform, and potential airdrop details. Anything you can share with the community at this time.
After hitting good momentum on product and growth milestones, HawkFi will explore the HFI utility token launch.
Q13: What specific security measures has HawkFi implemented to protect users’ funds in liquidity pools and fees collection wallet? And can you share details of your smart contract audits and safeguards against hacks or exploits?
HawkFi has a self-custodial and decentralized product architecture, meaning users have full control over depositing & withdrawing funds through HawkFi directly on DEXes.
There are no centralized vaults with centralized risk of exploitation.
And besides regular internal audits, HawkFi also completed an automated audit by Sec3 (previously Soteria) and a comprehensive audit by CertiK.
Q14: Hypothetically, if a hack occurred on the platform today, what would be the maximum potential loss for users?
Bad actors would need to exploit specific wallets from users directly, not HawkFi, so the loss will be limited to the amount in the specific users’ wallet.
As mentioned earlier, HawkFi has a self-custodial and decentralized product architecture, meaning users have full control over depositing & withdrawing funds through HawkFi directly into DEXes.
There are no centralized vaults with centralized risk of exploitation.

Q16: What secret alpha can you whisper to the GFD community right now? Something about the project that’s not already public information.

ii. Secondly, if you are lazy, HawkFi is launching a smart copy trading (Copy LP) platform soon.
